Lisa and I went to the Celebration of life for Mike Sebring today. At first when we waled in we really did not know anybody but the family members, but as we mingled we ran into more and more people we knew.
There was a lot of talking, reminiscing and remembering things we used today around our childhood neighborhood. Great time, awesome conversations and some wonderful people I have know for many, many years.
Gabe, Art and Bear showed up and we talked with them for a while, everyone was hanging out and having a good time. There were lots of pictures of Mike around the room and a display of two of his guitars, awesome!!
One of the best parts of the day was connecting with an old friend and neighbor that I have not seen since I was probably a teenager, John Veno. He lived just two houses away when I was growing up. We talked and reminisced with him and his wife, what a great time.
Funny thing, he lives in Louisville just right down the highway and we have never ran into each other over the years.
We talked with Dale and gave the family our condolences and then headed out for the next stop, a retirement party for one of Lisa’s co-workers.
