This is the new addition to our back yard, Polly the Peacock… Maybe not her final name, but the first thing I could come up with. (Well not even the first thing, Pedro was first)
I guess I need to remember she is a Peacock, I was thinking pigeon, parrot, penguin, pelican, and all the other “P” bird names before I came back to Peacock. (Silly brain can be a bit tricky to work at times!)
Lisa and I went to the Murdoch’s 3rd anniversary sale, they had $0.25 hamburgers and I was destined to score me one or two of those, but we ended up going to Daddy O’s – which actually was a much better choice. (Cost a few cents more but…)
We talked about getting Polly over lunch, I texted to Lincoln and asked if they had more in the back, he said no this was the only one. (That is what I wanted because I did not want to assemble this bird.) So we decided to do it!
Headed BACK to Murdoch’s and picked up this expensive bird for our back yard.
This spawned about 2 hours of weed pulling for both of us, still need some weed kill to kill the grass growing in the mulch but we planted Polly and man, she looks good back there!
Bonus feature: Those tiny owls and hawks will definitely stay the hell away now that I have BIGGER bird in my yard!!!
