Check it out, we mounted a TV out in the patio – it is a 50″ LG from Sam’s Club, $199, the cheapest one I could find. They get damp, wet, hot and well just will not last forever outside.
This one is on an electric mount that folds it up flat against the ceiling when it is not in use. (Thanks Jake for hanging the mount!) So really, it should be out of the wind, sun, rain and any weather that gets through the back side of the patio.
Time will tell. I remember my last outdoor TV at the farm, not so good at all! It got water inside the TV on like day 3 or so, and was messed up forever after that.
It finally dried out and surprisingly STILL worked!! I think I sold it with the house!
Ha ha! It is nice to sit outside with a cup of coffee and catch the news, or after work in the evening to watch Big Bang, or Young Sheldon. (The two shows we watch the most…)
Or even to crank on some Spotify and jam some tunes, no doubt it will get used around here!
