Interesting start to the morning today, took a shower as usual and was getting out to grab a towel, and bamm! Darkness! The power had went out!
I reached into my nightstand where I keep an emergency flashlight that would light up the world, went back into the bathroom and finished drying off and getting ready.
I got dressed and heard a ton of sirens coming this way, looked out the back patio to see a ton of emergency equipment on road 17 out by the horse farm.
I assumed a transformer had blew, but that was not it.
A guy had crashed his car off the road, hit a pole and took out the power and continued into the field where he hit a horse and killed it.
Wow, that is horrible. I was reading Nextdoor to find all this out as I sat in darkness and waited for the power to come back on.
It took well over an hour. And I tried to run the Keurig from the AC power in my truck (Ran a 100ft cord inside) to make a cup of coffee.
NO GO, it blew the breaker in the truck, so I just plugged in the lamp for light.
Yeah, the new generator is on order and will be here later this week! Seems like we have had more power outages here than we did at the farm!
