I have been working on the fireplace because for some reason it will not start up this year. Worked fine last year, but no go now!
It is nice for some extra heat in the living room and kitchen, and it gives it that ambiance what we all know and love.
Seems like it might be a thermocoupler, there are two igniters, and only one works, so it might be an igniter too. But I did some testing if you flip the wire around on the igniter the other one works so they are both good.
Leads me to believe it is a control module. Like the ‘brain’ of the system.
Called Ace and they said they do not have it, she found it on amazon and told me where to look there – quick, easy and it will be here tomorrow!
Hope that is it – the part is $141.00, sheesh!
