They always put pretty cool displays out on the front lawn of the Fitzsimons building on the campus… We have 18,000 people on campus and these red flags represent the survivors of ‘interpersonal violence’.
I was not sure what that was so I had to look it up:
Interpersonal violence includes, but is not limited to, child abuse & neglect, dating violence, domestic violence, human trafficking, stalking, bullying, hazing, and elder abuse.
Some of the bad things that are out there in this world, and the strong people that have survived them.
I was out on my morning walk around campus and I saw this, I had to stop and read the signs and took a moment to take it all in.
Things that make you think.
