Today is that day, Ubuntu 24.10 is released! I grabbed a copy of the ISO as soon as I could, installed it on a test laptop at work and man, i was impressed! I cannot wait to get home and put this on my home desktop for sure!
20 years of Ubuntu, I think I started on like version 3.0 (Circa 2005) or so… It was a long time back! I was a ‘distro hopper’ over the years and did not stay entirely with Ubuntu, but it seems I always come back to it as it is powerful, clean, beautiful as a desktop and gets the job done.
Still miles above windows crap in my opinion!
I love it, and with AI creeping into everything, and all of the other new technology it just cant be beat!
I still use a windows laptop at work (Because I have to) but as soon as I am off the clock, my compute time is spent on Linux!
Get twice the tasks done, accurately, easily and with no blue screens, in 1/2 the time!
