Man it has been A LONG TIME since I have brewed, wow! Too long!
Today is the day! I have had a beer kit in the pantry since before we moved here… Brought it from the farm… I checked all the ingredients and the dates on everything and it is good for another year – till Sept 2025.
Fresh as can be! Ha ha! I bet these kits set in the warehouse for ever anyways, I think the only thing you have to worry about is the dry yeast – if it does not get too hot or too cold, it should be OK!
It is a little different brewing her, city water? WIN! Gas stove? BIG WIN!
The brew went perfectly, the more I use the gas stove, the more I love it. Seems to have so much more heating power, and control – you turn the temperature down, the flame drops and the temp drops immediately!
I kept my temperatures 100% perfect during all the stages of the brew! I have never been able to do that before!
Going to be a good DARK beer!!!
