Man this ain’t no Hunter Douglas, these are Brooker Blinds! Designed, built and installed by ME! Ha ha! (Not the blinds, just the controller)
This is in our master bathroom, and outside the windows is a view of our beautiful garden. You would have to get into he bathtub to reach the blinds to open or close them so they spent most of their time closed.
Today I installed the ‘Switchbot Blind Tilt’ a little electric motor to open and close them, complete with a tiny solar panel that sticks to the glass to keep it fully charged!
They are some old blinds that came with the house so I had to do some creative installing to get it to work. Got ‘er going and man, it is pretty awesome. You can program them to open and close at dawn-dusk, or at a specific time.
All of the features of the very expensive Hunter Douglas products at a fraction of the cost. Simple, and effective – I like that!
