Wow, finally the concrete in the barn is done! Impressive, these guys did a WONDERFUL job – 6” thick with rebar! It is now ready to withstand the test of time for sure!
I went out there the next morning and walked it, wow! It was like a sauna from all of the moisture – it was even dripping off the ceiling!
I love the smell of new concrete, and boy did it smell in here!
I had to open up the overhead door to let the steam and moisture out, hoping it would help to dry it out a bit with some fresh air and sunshine.
It will need 7 days to cure before you can drive anything on it, and since they used the road base in front of the door – the ramp leaving up – that will need to be fixed and backfilled with new road base before anything can drive in!
