A good afternoon, dinner with my beautiful wife Lisa at The Pumphouse in Longmont. She loves the chicken fried chicken there, and I did the ‘Pub meatloaf’ which was a first for me, pretty darn amazing!
We had a great time and ran around town a bit, stopped at Your Butcher Franck to pick up a freezer bundle of meat and looked at the price of a 1/2 and 1/4 of beef.
Wow! They are proud of that, $5.85/lb for the hind quarter, times that by 150 pounds +/-, I am going to have to look around a bit.
All the talk about 2024 and the food shortages have got me thinking, I want to be prepared and have a freezer full of food!
Not really worried, but my eyes are open and paying attention to everything that is going on in the crazy world around us!
