Well you know I talk about it every year, “Let’s get some firewood cut before the snow files out here…” But, I have never done it – every. You might say I am a bit last minute, or procrastinator, and hell, we have always bought firewood in the past.
This year, I am going to do it!
I got 3 big loads of free logs from a neighbor, delivered and dropped off out back – all I have to do is cut, split and stack them.
Don’t get me wrong, that is a bit of work to do, but hey – it is under way! I got about 1/3 of the first pile chopped into bite size pieces for the splitter.
Changing the oil, filters and spark plug on it, then it will be time to split and stack!
This is good hardwood and will make nice firewood, and hell – I am ahead for the game for the first time ever!
