The lettuce has started to grow, and I think every single seed has sprouted. Crazy this was from an old package of seeds I found from last year that was already open, I decided it would be the first one to test out the new grow light and rail system I got.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funny thing, it is a fluorescent grow light – not LED. What? I have used LED’s so much int he past and it just seems like they are “too much” most of the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This little fluorescent grow lamp seems to be working well and is a little ‘nicer’ to the plants and seedlings. The lettuce is growing very well and seems happy. Next I need to transplant it all into some soil in small cups to let it grow for a few more weeks till I can transfer it out to the garden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was reading if you start new lettuce every two weeks you will have a continuous supply throughout the gardening season. I am going to try it as soon as I can get some in the ground outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
