I ran into the office today in Aurora, leaving the house at 5:00 AM to make it there by 6:00 AM, and it took every minute of it – 55 Minute drive. Damn!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It has been a minute since I have came in… We are continuing our journey to replace Cisco with Microsoft Teams calling so I had to look at some paging systems in 4 different buildings – Definity on-site work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some old analog equipment, bringing it into the 21st century technology to give it just a little more life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We have a very large infrastructure and a very large campus to manage. Each one of these pairs runs to somewhere on the campus, sometimes thousands of feet away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mark knows where each and everyone of these wires go, if he doesn’t – he can figure it out. That is part of my goal today it to get some information out of his brain before the end of the year, December 31st is his last day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With Scott now gone from the university, and Mark leaving – that kind of makes me a pretty “key” technical contact for the university. And I still have a lot to learn!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
