New wheels and ready to roll… Well actually they are hubcaps, but they look pretty darn sharp! The new battery came in today, and man, it is BIG and heavy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nothing like the old lead acid batteries, but it weights 108 pounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I dropped ‘er in and was on the road quickly, at least for a test drive. It came charged at 65% so good enough for a while. I ran around the neighborhood, down the road, down the paths and had a good time for my initial test run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I was sad the top speed was only 11 mph though, what the hell. I am going to have to beef that up for sure!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The tires are low on air, and the battery probably needs it’s initial charge to get everything up to par. I need to finish wiring in the gauge and bolting everything down too. This was just a test run!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am happy though, everything works and it drives nice. there is no 12 volt for the lights and stuff, I need to check the wiring on all of that next but this battery ROCKS!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
