{"id":2292,"date":"2025-05-15T06:45:05","date_gmt":"2025-05-15T12:45:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thebrookers.com\/blog\/?p=2292"},"modified":"2025-05-19T06:59:18","modified_gmt":"2025-05-19T12:59:18","slug":"weeds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thebrookers.com\/blog\/2025\/05\/15\/weeds\/","title":{"rendered":"Weeds"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While this is a beautiful picture of the backyard before sunrise, with our awesome lawn sculpture in the middle, what is up with the small fence aournd the edge?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Well, we have started a battle on the weeds in there.  A week ago we pulled them all and this was ready to be sprayed with week killer or &#8216;ground clear&#8217;.  I built the small fence to keep the dogs our of there after we spray it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In that time, take a look at it.  They grew back, even more than before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We pulled them by the roots, all the way down in the ground, and they grew back elsewhere.  With all the rain we have been having, this is a continuous job.  But damn, this is a little crazy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I am going to go out there and do it again, then same day &#8211; spray the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I have a little lawn stool thing I can kneel down on and go to town, the weeds are up close and personal then &#8211; I am going to get them all and SOAK this with weed killer!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then the plan is to either replace the mulch, or maybe even go with rock?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not sure yet &#8211; but anything will look better than our &#8216;weed farm&#8217;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>While this is a beautiful picture of the backyard before sunrise, with our awesome lawn sculpture in the middle, what is up with the small fence aournd the edge?
