{"id":2189,"date":"2025-04-27T15:00:55","date_gmt":"2025-04-27T21:00:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thebrookers.com\/blog\/?p=2189"},"modified":"2025-04-30T15:11:41","modified_gmt":"2025-04-30T21:11:41","slug":"new-pc-on-the-way","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thebrookers.com\/blog\/2025\/04\/27\/new-pc-on-the-way\/","title":{"rendered":"New PC on the way"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here is a quick look inside of my current PC, which is really several years old &#8216;to me&#8217; and several more years older in technology!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I ordered it many years ago, and it was a good deal because it was many years old, and recently dug it out and upgraded the RAM to 64 gigabytes, which is a huge improvement and I have been running it hard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today I decided to retire this beast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I ordered an <strong><em>Intel Core i9-12900HK (14 Cores 20 Threads, up to 5.0GHz), 32GB DDR4 RAM 1TB NVMe SSD.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is really about the latest and greatest, and the best money can buy.  I do want to upgrade it to 64 GB of RAM, but that will come maybe next payday.  I have spent enough for this month, and will have to &#8216;get by&#8217; with only 32 gig of RAM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I am excited, this should be a BEAST!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Funny thing, I am trying to sell my old one, complete with Monitor and everything for $500.  No bites?
