Each day after the solstice, we get one minute more of sunlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shortest day, longest night but most importantly is that we are now crawling towards spring!  Wooo hooo!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I know winter is not even close to being over yet, and have we really even HAD winter yet?  I don thing so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was doing some yearly highs lows on my weather station and I guess at the end of last month we dropped to 14 degrees.  Coldest night of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Funny thing, in the new house, I did not even notice it until I read the stats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You hit 14 degrees on the farm and you are checking animals, wrapping pipes, hauling firewood, leaving faucets dripping and preparing for the cold night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kind of a different lifestyle now, no complaints here!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Simple = Good<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today,\u00a0December 21, is Winter Solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, the celestial event signifies the first day of winter, astronomically.
