OK I am done with these sub-arctic temperatures, we are burning wood like crazy and you can tell – it takes a bit to get the temperature up in the house, and a little bit more to KEEP it there!
My wood pile is depleted, gone. I have been cutting a little bit every few nights to make it through this cold spell. The wood splitter is pretty hard to start in the super cold, so she is moved inside the big barn to stay warm and out of the weather!
Man I tell you, you can never have enough wood, no matter what you think. You will burn it and go through it. I thought I had enough cut and split for the entire winter, wrong!!
And I do not mind cutting and splitting, when the weather is nice – in -26 temperatures, nope.
What? I have a furnace and can turn that on? OK, maybe once!
Ha ha! I can hear the money burning!
