We went to a Chili cook off at Rori’s friend Charlotte’s house today, lots of chili, food, beer and the Broncos game! Right on!!!
They have beautiful home out in Berthoud, and it is always fun to talk to Taylor and his Dad about grilling it up, and using the big green egg.

All three of us used an egg to cook our entries for the chili cook off, added the smoked flavor and really made for some interesting versions!
I made green chili and had a little measuring issue when I was reading my recipe, I created and wrote (Well it was typed but ya know what I mean…) I did two TABLESPOONS of Chili powder and it was suppose to be two TEASPOONS.
DAMIT, DAMMIT, DAMMIT!
You know how fine and dark chili power is, it did not ruin it but it skewed the color and flavor bad enough I almost didn’t take it.
Names it “White boy green chili” and sent it to the table. Did not win, but next year – look out boys I am coming after ya! Ha ha! I got a few votes, maybe out of pity? Who knows. Sucked though, but the party was a blast ADN The Broncos WON!!!! Wooo hoooo!
