We went out to the beach today, Eric found a great spot to set up our “Day Camp”. It was a little bit of a hike to get DOWN there, and a LOTTA BIT of a hike to get back up!
I went up once to get water and beer, carried it back down in a too damn heavy cooler that was full of water! But, we needed water, then it was time to switch to beer. I encouraged everyone to drink as many as they wanted.
An empty can in the cooler is much lighter that a full one! Ha ha!
We had a lot of fun, I ‘stepped’ in the water and damn it was cold. Eric and family did some paddle boarding and kayaking, me – I worked on my tan!
Even with a very high sun-blocked body I was able to get some good sun, and got a bit red, oops!
We hiked back up after a couple hours down by the water, and yes – it did suck. A few steps up, stop and catch your breath, repeat. We made it though.
Headed off to the marina to get some lunch and ice to take back to the campsite.
