I am trying to find an NVIDIA GPU in any of my systems to work on some AI stuff, all of my new systems have Intel Video Cards and GPU’s – AI does not like that, it wants NVIDIA.
I found one system with an NVIDIA card, it is an old server I bought from one of St Vrain’s auctions. And the card, it is old as hell too. Not sure if it is going to work, but hey – something to try and mess around with.
And looking at new video card prices, blah – not going to spend that kinda money! Sheesh, memory, hard drives and GPU prices have all went through the roof because of AI. Insane.
I am just finishing a book “AI Snake Oil” and they predict AI might just become a thing of hype in the past, as cryptocurrency has done.
Is it true? Can it be?
Lisa and I still have our crypto investment we made, watching it grow (Or not)… It is definitely not worth what we put into it.
