I got a great deal on a pallet of solar panels, 345Watt – Brand new! I will be redoing the two panels on my “Solar Shed” and will have the rest for sale – including the three old 175 Watt panels I am using on the shed now.
These things are HUGE 3.5′ x 7′ and well with 345 watts, one panel will replace the two I have on the shed now. Awesome!
I think I will set up one panel on a stand out by the pool to power it this summer and use the power from the shed to run my servers in the basement.
I figure the servers cost me around $30/month to run in electricity, if I can get that from free solar power, heck yeah! Eventually they will pay for themselves.
I know I am not “powering the world” or even saving money with them, but I enjoy it an it is fun and educational. And hey, come on out to my shed – I will let you charge your phone for FREE! Ha ha!
