What a horrific day in the news today was, school shooting, girl murdered on a train and nobody even moved to help her, and of course Charlie Kirk shot and killed by a sniper while speaking. Wow. Just wow.
It really makes you think, and pray for these young children and their future.
Besides all of that, we had a great family day on the soccer field, Rori got her team jersey and took team photos prior to getting out there and showing them what she had!
It was so cute!
We all met after practice for dinner in Berthoud, had some good Mexican food out on the patio at Cocina & Cantina Mexican Restaurant with Charlette (Rori’s friend) and her family.
It was a great time and nice to wind down the afternoon talking and eating with family and friends.
WoW (Words of Wisdom): Day 20 – Agree to disagree
The abhorrent shooting of Charlie Kirk in Utah today is tragic and grossly un-American. We can disagree deeply, but violence is never the answer. I urge all Americans to choose respect and dialogue over hate and violence.
We need to learn to “agree to disagree”. This is to resolve a conflict by having all parties tolerating but not accepting the opposing positions. It generally occurs when all sides recognize that further conflict would be unnecessary, ineffective or otherwise undesirable.
Do better.
