I got out and did some shooting today, it has been a minute. Life has been so busy, I have forgotten to take the time to improve my acracy and on-target skills.
Before I was having a hard time with grip and hitting on target. I was using the most difficult target they had, a group of 36e a. 2-1/2″ circles numbers from 1 to 36. I just could not nail it down.
Same two guns, same distance – I switch to an easier target with less ‘bullseyes’ and a bigger area to focus on to make the score. this helped tremendously. it think I was expecting too much out of myself, backed off a bit and left feeling like I was shooting like a tops today.
I could more visits and I will be back in play, practice makes perfect. I figure 1 hour per week at the range will nto only burn some stress, it will get me dialed ina nd keep my wallet low.
Those 9mm rounds are not cheap like they used to be. I will get back into reloading when it cools down a bit this fall. Always a perfect afternoon activity when the garage is not overheated from the western setting sun.
WoW (Words of Wisdom): Day 2 – Health & Weight
Maintaining your health and diet is critical to a successful life. You become sluggish, slow and have a cloudy head when you are not in your top physical condition. Riding a bike, going to the gym, or long brisk walks do wonders to help you stay in shape and keep the weight off.
Recently I have lost 15 pounds and took 13 inches off my body measurements. If you would like to do the same I recommend a phone call to Annette Baker (720) 740-8966, she is with Metabolic Research Center in Longmont and can make weight loss fun. I am in week 7 of a 12 week plan, it is inexpensive, fun and I am shooting for another 15 pounds before we finish.
