W are On the road to go on a week long vacation while the crew replaces all the flooring on our house, on the first floor.
Kinda crazy to be doing a remodel on a house that is only 10 years old, but the carpet had to go. And well, the old hardwood floor that was very beautiful, it has to go too.
They could not match it when they promised they could so, I got the entire first floor done in new ‘real hardwood’ at their expense. Works for me.
But they told us we would need to got to a hotel or be out of the house while they work as the dust and fumes are very toxic.
What better time to get the heck outta there and go on vacation right?
Our first leg of the vacation was a quick stop in Kansas City for my Dad’s 80th birthday party, then we will be going on to Branson for a couple days, and after that – taking the long way home to explore other routes of getting home ANY other way that the boring drive of I-70.
And coming home to a completely finished new flooring, is going to be amazing!
Let the fun begin.
