Here is a picture of me doing some testing of my first ‘Solar Generator’ a home made unit – but hey, it works very well and with the new panels charges up super fast and says charged all day long.
Reminds me of Larry’s first set ups he built many years ago!
It has a solar charge controller, to hook the panels up to, a LiPo4 battery – 100 Amp hours (About h 1/2 the size of my Predator power center) and a 400Watt AC convertor.
The reason I built this one was to power the pool pump! We have no AC back there in the far corner of the yard so this does the trick. I had a small 25 watt panel I used with it at first, worked OK but just did not have enough ‘ummph’ to keep it going all day and night.
The 200 watt portable panels, no problem!
Run that pool pump 24/7 – free. I like that idea! Clean, cool and free entertainment!
