We have a complete solar system on our house, and I have a little ‘solar playground’ out on top of the shed, complete with LiFePO batteries and all.
I have been playing with it, trying out all the different controllers and configurations – definitely sold on the LiFePO batteries – man they are awesome! (And expensive)
They behave a little different than a standard batterie, if you run them 100% dead, they are like really dead – flatlined.
This charge controller addresses that and will be able to keep them going if they ever get to 0%. A big plus! I have had to ‘jump start’ smaller LiFePO batteries before to get them back online.
Anyways, my end goal is to build out a very robust system and then transfer it tot he RV, panels on the roof and a rack of batteries int he closet to be 100% off grid if ever needed.
