A while back Lisa used some ‘orange glow’ floor cleaner and it destroyed our hardwood floors. It left a residue that was streaked, all over the entire floor and just would not come off.
She has tried everything but just cant get it cleaned and back to normal. If you read online there are many, many complaints and ways to get it removed to ‘fix’ your floor.
I think we have tried them all and non of them work.
Today I did some more ‘testing’ and I think I have the fix, it is a lot of work on your hands and knees but worth it. (I think)
Here is the secret: Rubbing alcohol and a magic eraser sponge to remove the old stupid orange glow – then follow up with a dry mop and some Quickshine Floor Finish.
I think that does it! I did a small section and I like what I see – time will tell, then this weekend – we need to buckle down and do the entire floor.
That is going to suck.
