Got the Corvette Out today and took a ride down the highway at lunch, went down to Taco Johns, mmmm – one of my favorite places!
She is a little dusty, has 3/4 of a tank of old fuel, but ran like a beast! Over the winter I kept ‘er on a trickle charge to keep the battery fresh!
She started right up and was a lot of fun to drive, screaming down the highway!
I ran down to the car wash and blew the dust off and took it out for a nice ride after work, love this damn car! The interior is so nice with the new seats and tinted windows, nothing to complain about.
I have a couple things I need to do, I have a new tachometer for the digital dash in my desk draw, the one in the dash has a couple burned out LED’s.
1984 LED’s were a bit different than todays LED’s for sure! A simple replacement to fix it, and it has been sitting in my desk for almost a year.
Yeah I better do it, replacing the part is easy – getting the dash panel out – NOT SO EASY!!! It is on the list, and my new $375 power antenna is jacked up, it is under warranty but still a piain in the ass to pull out and replace.
Things to do in the garage, I guess I am OK with that really! Fun with the Vette’ and she is on the road for ’25!!!
