Yeah it is the light colored proper sized two-by-four.
This thing has taken so many tumbles over from the wind and broke the flimsy little balsa wood it is built out of. the real wood is a hell of an upgrade.
She is upright, steady and solid now. Hopefully the wind will go easy on us and it will stay upright!
This quick little project took me 3 hours! I had to pull it all apart, cut and drill the new board to match and fit it all in with the original hardware, screws and bolts – then re-attached the slide and fix one slat on the top rail.
It is better than new now, solid, a little heavier and I am excited for Rori to come over and play on it again!
