Samsung NVMe drive

Samsung NVMe drive

I am still working on my PC build out, and decided to spice up the performance a bit more. I was running on a 1TB SSD drive, standard, good ole fashioned SSD…

It was good but the NVMe drive so MUCH faster, so I had to get one.

NVMe (nonvolatile memory express) is a new storage access and transport protocol for flash and next-generation solid-state drives (SSDs) that delivers the highest throughput and fastest response times yet for all types of enterprise workloads.

I got me a Samsung 1 terabyte drive and installed ‘er in there, now this machine is really SMOKIN’ – wow!

If you looks really close in the picture you can see it tucked in there, it is about as big as a stick of gum.

Yeah I took it out to the garage and blew all the dust out, looks much better now. What has happened to cans of compressed air? Cannot find them anywhere?

Love it though, and what a difference it makes, that and my 64 gigabytes of RAM, I think I am running out of things to upgrade.

Not a bad problem to have!
