Brrrr, it has been crazy cold here. We went to leave this morning and my damn truck would not start. I left my Ham Radio on (For a few days) and it drained the battery.
I thought cars were smart enough to combat this and turn off the power draw so it would not kill the battery. Nope.
This is the first time, ever, that my truck would not start. Dammmit! And we are supposed to be picking up Nik and Rori to go to ‘The Little Gym’ now. Gonna be late!
I got the charger on it, which I had to dig out of a box in the garage, I really never use it anymore, but anyways hooked er up and waited 45 minutes for it to charge up in this cold, cold weather.
And we were off. Nikki had left and drove there, so we went there to meet them. We were there before them, and 3 minutes early! Doh!
The truck had charged up and was back to tip top shape after the drive to Ft Collins and back. All good, don’t do that dumb stuff again!
TURN THE HAM RADIO OFF!
