We had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday, all the family was here and we had enough food to feed the town. Wow!
Lisa and I were up early. cleaning, rearranging, decorating and preparing for guests who would arrive at 2 pm.
Josh smokes a turkey and a ham, I cooked a turkey in the oven, a new experience for me because it was a gas oven, and a convection oven. I was afraid to put it in the night before like I always do, so I started ti super early (4:00 am) today.
It turned out perfect, golden brown, juicy and delicious, it just did not need quite as much ‘oven time’…
After dinner we all played darts in the garage, had a few adult beverages and watched some football on TV.
A great family day, all we were missing is Jake & Natalie, but guess what? They are coming down for Christmas! Lisa has already bought their tickets so that is exciting!
Cannot wait to see them!
