Well the big snow of 2026, I guess was big – but it kinda fizzled out on ole’ Johnstown.
The major Colorado snowstorm of May 2026 occurred from May 4–6, 2026, dumping over two feet of snow in some areas of the Front Range and northern mountains. The heaviest snow fell between Tuesday, May 5, and midday Wednesday, May 6, with Estes Park recording 28 inches and Boulder receiving over 11 inches.
We got a bit, and yes it was wet, and heavy, and guess what – we lost our power in the middle of the night – last night, the day before the storm. what the heck?
Oh well, it is behind us, no broken trees here, now turn on the summer!
I guess a little more is coming tomorrow, but I think this is the brunt of it.
