Day 5 and we are still going strong, today Josh and I went and got a rental van for the day – came back to the resort and the crew was ready to go! We had an hour drive to Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral.
It was crazy, as we got closer, the ocean and beach came right up to the highway. White sand everywhere and people pulled over swimming, fishing, and playing in the sand and water right off the road.
We got there, looked at all the rockets out front, their size was amazing, huge!!! We visited all the displays, videos and cool things to do on site, followed by a lunch int he cafe, and an expensive trip to the gift shop – tons of fun Nasa stuff there! Oh yeah!
We piled back in the van and headed towards the beach. Parked, crossed and old wooden bridge and we were on miles and miles of sand, and the Atlantic ocean. First time for me!
The water was much cleaner and clearer than the west coast for sure, and warmer! Everyone had a blast on the beach, now it is time to head to our next Disney character dinner!
