I often feel like this after a long day as a Linux admin, ha ha – rough day, heck yeah! Technology, gotta love it – and hate it at the same time.
Speaking of Linux, I picked up an older gaming computer (With 64 gigabytes of ram) for $51 from a school auction at St Vrain.
A nice computer, $51 – oh yeah, it is perfect for a Linux server! I loaded the latest version of Ubuntu Server on it and she is live.
I only had a spare 2 terabyte drive laying around, imagine that? So it is kinda small but enough to play with and get the system online. I will be upgrading it to a 20 TB drive soon, or maybe even bigger. We will see.
It has a nice powerful graphics card and I can use the GPU for some AI tasks around the house. (Or even just for some testing and learning really…)
More fun than should be allowed for such an ‘inexpensive’ server!
