I finished my final Ricoma Training and it was awesome! There were supposed to be 3 other students in the class, and well – they were no-shows so it was just me and the instructor.
It was great because he asked me what I wanted to focus on and really work on. I immediately said hats!
It was only a few minutes in when he said to show him my hopped hat that was ready to go. “Yeah, that’s wrong.” What? Within minutes he showed me how to “Properly” ‘hoop a hat’ and we were off to the races.
Running test designs, and a simple ‘truckers’ hat – came out 100% perfect.
I learned a ton over the 3 hour class, and it was nice to have the one-on-one trainign for sure!
I asked a lot of questions, got a lot of answers and really focused in on doing things right. There is a lot I did not know – WOW!
And check out “3-D Puff Embroidery” — that is the next thing I am going to learn, it is really “The new thing” in embroidery. Looks super awesome!!!
