We had an all hands meeting today on the Anschutz campus, it was nice to see all my friends and co-workers, and I even met some that I have only talked to “on the screen”. Nice to meet them in person.
It was a pretty good crowd, and you have assigned seats where they mix you in with people from other departments and people you don’t really know.
It was all based on a space and science-fiction theme, I was at the “Stranger things” table. I sat right next to someone I knew, and met a couple new co-workers as well.
It was a long day to just ‘sit’. We had a decent lunch, a taco bar, and plenty of treats and snack available around the room. All in all it was good, but a long day.
We got out at 3:30pm, or at least I did, I was one of the ones that left without getting ice-cream, I needed to get home as the drive gets more brutal by the minute after 3:00 PM.
An hour and a half later, I was home. Sheesh – what a drive and what a day!
