New wheels and ready to roll… Well actually they are hubcaps, but they look pretty darn sharp! The new battery came in today, and man, it is BIG and heavy.
Nothing like the old lead acid batteries, but it weights 108 pounds.
I dropped ‘er in and was on the road quickly, at least for a test drive. It came charged at 65% so good enough for a while. I ran around the neighborhood, down the road, down the paths and had a good time for my initial test run.
I was sad the top speed was only 11 mph though, what the hell. I am going to have to beef that up for sure!
The tires are low on air, and the battery probably needs it’s initial charge to get everything up to par. I need to finish wiring in the gauge and bolting everything down too. This was just a test run!
I am happy though, everything works and it drives nice. there is no 12 volt for the lights and stuff, I need to check the wiring on all of that next but this battery ROCKS!!!
