Well. I finally sold my BIG Peavey DJ system… It took a while but a kid came down from Englewood and bought it.
It was actually kinda nice how it all packed up and fit in the back of a smaller truck. Pretty modular and portable despite it’s side. Sold and gone.
So what do I do next? Immediately, I open up the crates in the garage, dig out a few things and stat building my ‘next big thing’ – another sound System.
I have had this Crown Amp but never used it and DAMN 575 watts, it jams with theses little Polk Audio speakers – big sound out of a little package.
I am thinking I might make this a portable system is a nice road case, so you just mount the amp in there, the cables and mixer can fit behind it for travel and then all you do is carry the case and two speakers. Great idea.
The kid who bought my big system said they want to take it up 4-wheeling. Stop, drop it off, jam in the middle of nowhere, and have fun. Kinda a bit big of a system for that, but it would rock.
I think that inspired my thoughts with this little set up. Right now it is hooked to Alexa and plays whatever you want on command – and sounds damn good for its size!
