Halloween time

Halloween time

Well it is Halloween season, time to get the 3D printer churning out some Halloween treats! I have plenty of black and orange filament, and the ‘silly things’ have already started rolling off the printer.

It has been a minute since Rori has asked for anything 3D printed, there for a while I was printing several things for her, every day!

Once she sees a couple Halloween things she will get back into it.

Halloween is her favorite holiday, she loves spooky (Not scary) things and has so much fun with it. In fact just today, we lost a bat hair clip after gymnastics, it ‘popped’ off her water bottle and flew into a pine tree. We searched and searched and could not find it.

I saw it fly off from the corner of my eye and heard it fly, but with all the pine needles and crap around the bottom of the tree – no luck finding it.

She was not happy with Papa for that. Dang it.

WoW (Words of Wisdom): Day 42 – Self control

One of the most practical ways to eliminate a bad habit is to reduce exposure to the cue that causes it.

If you can’t seem to get any work done, leave your phone in another room for a few hours.

If you’re continually feeling like you’re not enough, stop following social media accounts that trigger jealousy and envy.

If you’re wasting too much time watching television, move the TV out of the bedroom.

If you’re spending too much money on electronics, quit reading reviews of the latest tech gear.

If you’re playing too many video games, unplug the console and put it in a closet after each use.

This practice is an inversion of the 1st Law of Behavior Change. Rather than make it obvious, you can make it invisible.

Remove a single cue and the entire habit often fades away.

Self-control is a short-term strategy, not a long-term one.
